request an appointmentWhat are digital X-rays?
Digital X-rays use a highly sensitive electronic sensor to capture images of your mouth. The resulting images are much more detailed than regular film X-rays. The Lashen Dental Group team can examine the images in detail on a nearby computer, including zooming in to look at certain areas more closely if needed. Digital X-rays are usually part of a comprehensive dental exam.
What is an intraoral camera?
An intraoral camera is a small, high-tech device about the size of a writing pen. It has a miniature lens on one end, which takes video images and transfers them straight into the Lashen Dental Group computer system.
Your Lashen Dental Group team uses an intraoral camera to get detailed images of the inside of your mouth. Intraoral cameras can capture even the smallest details, those which aren’t always visible during a comprehensive oral exam.
The intraoral camera is especially helpful in finding problems and being able to study them close up. Your dentist can enlarge the images to point out fine details as they explain problems and/or recommended treatments. It’s also helpful for planning treatments.
What is a digital scanner?
A digital scanner captures images of part or all of your mouth. Lashen Dental Group uses an advanced digital scanner to get 360-degree images that create a 3D map of your mouth. Digital scanners are very helpful in planning your treatment, whether it’s teeth straightening like Invisalign® or ClearCorrect® or a tooth restoration like crowns or dental implants.
What are the benefits of advanced same-day digital dental treatments?
Advanced same-day digital dental treatments at Lashen Dental Group offer a number of advantages to you as a patient. First, they’re painless and clean, requiring no messy or goopy impressions when you’re getting tooth restorations.
Many patients really appreciate the fact that it’s easy to understand problems and treatment plans because the dentist can point out the fine details on the computer as they explain. Those digital images are stored in the computer system so they’re easy to access as needed.
Another advantage is that you’re exposed to far less radiation than you would be with traditional dental X-rays.
Lashen Dental Group believes that their patients deserve the very best, so they use the most advanced dentistry tools available. Call the office or use online booking to get your personalized oral health assessment today.
